Documentaries

Con Mum (Netflix) is about a chef's life being upended when a jet-setting, champagne-sipping, hotel-hopping woman claims to be his mother. This documentary reveals the untold story.

Hollywood Demons (ID Discovery/Max) exposes the hidden struggles, sacrifices and scandals of life in the spotlight. (I am part of the series, my episode airs April 14.)

The March 24 premiere episode is about Stephen Collins, America’s Dad. For 11 years, Stephen Collins graced the screen as the altruistic Rev. Eric Camden on 7th Heaven. However, his squeaky-clean image is shattered when a recording of him admitting to inappropriate sexual conduct with underage girls is leaked. In this intense and emotional two-hour premiere, one of Collins’s alleged victims comes forward in a shocking tell-all interview, revealing the disturbing truth about the actor she once idolized. Crew and castmates from the iconic series, including Jeremy London, also share their reactions to the bombshell accusations, leaving them reeling in the aftermath.

Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Women in Hollywood (Apple TV) highlights the resilience, determination, and trailblazing journeys of Black women in Hollywood. (March 28)

Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn’s Treasure (Netflix) - In 2010, enigmatic art dealer and author Forrest Fenn orchestrated a treasure hunt for the 21st century. At 80 years old, Fenn hid a chest filled with gold and jewels in the mountains north of Santa Fe, leaving only a cryptic 24-line poem for fortune seekers to divine its location. The audacious act ignited a decade-long quest for which a ragtag band of adventurers abandoned their jobs, families, and in some cases even their lives in pursuit of Fenn’s hidden fortune. (March 27)

Lockerbie: The Bombing of Pan Am 103 (Max) is the documentary that originally aired on CNN. In 1988, the bombing of Pan Am 103 killed 270 people in Lockerbie, Scotland. This gripping four-part series follows the investigation on the attack. (March 27)
