Hello again,
I am bursting with excitement about this week’s upcoming podcast episodes, which includes an episode on Tuesday with Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg. Get ready!
Here’s my list for this week:
Reality Television:
Alone Australia (Netflix) airs the first season which drops ten skilled outdoor survivalists on a mission to be the last one standing. (February 5)
The Voice (NBC) begins a new season, and Adam Levine has returned. He will be joined by Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé and John Legend. (February 3)
Below Deck Down Under (Bravo) begins a new season. Captain Jason returns along with chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and deckhand Harry Van Vliet, plus new crew members for a season in the Seychelles. (February 3)
The Kardashians (Hulu) also begins a new season. This season Kim may come clean about a secret boyfriend, and Khloe and Kim travel to India for the wedding of a billionaire. It’s my assumption they got paid to attend. Why can’t I get paid to attend a wedding in another country? (February 6)
Documentaries:
The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan (Netflix) traces the cricketing rivalry between India and Pakistan, exploring their intricate past and uncertain present on the pitch. (February 7)
Very Scary Lovers (ID Discovery/Max) is hosted by Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg, and is a chilling journey behind the headlines of one of the most diabolical criminal couples in recent history: Benjamin and Erika Sifrit. (February 2)
Wicked Game: The Devil in the Desert (Hulu) is a true crime mind-bender. After a sheriff’s deputy found a woman zip-tied and frantic on the side of the road in the Mojave Desert in 2012, authorities discovered this may have been a grisly crime in pursuit of a suspected buried treasure. This discovery kicked off a years-long investigation that spanned sting operations, an international search, a prison break captured on cellphone, and a courtroom showdown between lead prosecutor Matt Murphy and the man authorities believed was pulling the strings in a twisted game of greed and violence — Hossein Nayeri. Matt Murphy will be on my podcast this week. (February 4)
Burden of Guilt (Paramount+) follows Tracyraquel Berns’ emotional journey to unravel the convoluted excuses that were given about her baby brother Matthew’s sudden death when she was just two years old. Though initially ruled an accident, the mystery of how Matthew died haunts Tracyraquel throughout her childhood. After years of lies and unanswered questions, she obtains Matthew’s medical records and uncovers a shocking detail; she learned she was blamed for his death. Tracyraquel embarks on a relentless search to expose the darkest and deepest secret of her troubled family. (February 4)
Enjoy!
