Here’s this week’s list:
🎥 Reality TV
Love Is Blind: Season 9 “Wedding” Finale (Netflix) — The much-anticipated finale episode, featuring the weddings (or not). (October 22)
Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition (Bravo) is a twist on both The Real Housewives franchise and the original Wife Swap concept. This new reality series pairs a Real Housewife with a “real wife” from a dramatically different background. The cast includes Melissa Gorga, Angie Katsanevas, Emily Simpson, and (originally) Wendy Osefo. (October 21)
The show was initially set to premiere October 14, but the episode featuring Osefo was pulled after her fraud-related arrest. The premiere was subsequently rescheduled for October 21.
📺 Documentary / Series
Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam (Prime Video) is a wild story. From courtside seats to a $5.7 million mansion, aspiring actor Zach Horwitz appeared to have it all, but behind the picture-perfect facade lurked one of Hollywood’s most audacious financial scams. The series reveals the shocking true story of how an Indiana transplant orchestrated a massive Ponzi scheme to finance his dreams of Hollywood stardom. (Streaming)
Who Killed the Montreal Expos? (Netflix) is an investigation into the downfall of Canada’s first Major League Baseball team — and the mystery of who was ultimately responsible. (October 21)
Armed Only with a Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud (HBO)
On March 13, 2022, filmmaker Brent Renaud was killed by Russian soldiers — the first American journalist to die reporting on the war in Ukraine. His brother and collaborator, Craig Renaud, recovered Brent’s body and final recordings, retracing his last journey and revisiting their years documenting global conflict. (October 21)
Mob War: Philadelphia vs. The Mafia (Netflix) focuses on the brutal ’90s turf war between mobsters John Stanfa and Joey Merlino, which plunged Philadelphia into chaos and bloodshed. (October 22)
Allen Iv3rson (Prime Video) is a deep dive into the life of NBA legend Allen Iverson, whose fearless individuality and authentic voice redefined basketball culture. From Hampton, Virginia, to superstardom, Iverson’s story is as much about personal evolution as athletic legacy. (October 23)
The Boston Strangler: Unheard Confession (Oxygen) is for true crime fans. For the first time, viewers will hear from 16 hours of long-lost tapes of alleged serial killer Albert DeSalvo’s confession. The recordings contradict official accounts and reignite questions about what really happened — especially since DeSalvo was murdered in prison the night before he was reportedly set to recant. (October 26)
Mr. Scorsese (Apple TV+)
Launched Friday, October 17, this five-part documentary event from Rebecca Miller is an access-heavy, intimate portrait of Martin Scorsese — ideal for weekend catch-up viewing. The series traces how Scorsese’s life shaped his art — exploring his upbringing, spirituality, friendships, and failures — and features never-before-seen archival footage and rare glimpses into his private notes and reflections.
Appearances from Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Thelma Schoonmaker, Paul Schrader, Steven Spielberg, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, and Sharon Stone add star power. The series doesn’t shy away from darker moments: struggles with addiction, creative despair, and artistic battles are candidly explored.

Armed only with a camera was beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Even if someone didn’t follow Brent’s work over the last two decades, it is a must watch! Journalist must be protected! It use to be the ultimate sin to shoot a journalist, it is become just another casualty of war. We must demand ALL journalists be protected!
